Cruise Collection 2018: with their ability to make us dream of exotic and tropical destinations even in winter, Resort collections are characterized by an innate freshness, able to make them irresistible in the eyes of the most fierce lovers of fashion.
Outside the weather is gray, winter is on us and it will soon be cold, so why not dream with clothes and accessories that make our mind travel to exotic places?
If you love tropical temperatures, the “Cruise” collections are for you. What exactly are the “Cruise” collections?
The Resort Collections are the collections created by the biggest brands in the fashion world that are no longer content to present their proposals twice a year. They decide to give life to looks that are inspired by off-season vacations. These lines are dedicated to wealthy people but also to fashion addicts who want to update their wardrobe in the intermediate seasons.
They are perfect purchases to show off on the beach or on winter holidays on a cruise ship.
Gucci decided to dedicate its Cruise collection 2018 to Rome and its eternal beauty. Why?
First of all is the home town of the brilliant mind of Gucci’s creative director, Alessandro Michele, second because Rome is beautiful to take one’s breath away. For its clear days, for the typically Roman heat, for the marbles of the Roman Empire, for the facades of the ancient and majestic palaces that adorn the center of the city. Vogue defines her a dream and the best place to dream.
Roma Caput Mundi. Today to say that is Gucci. Indeed, the maison has chosen Rome to present the new Cruise 2018 campaign entitled Roman Rhapsody. Taken by British photographer Mick Rock, it presents a series of portraits without filters of authentic people in equally authentic places.
Spontaneous and natural images, set in apartments and parks in the Roman neighborhoods, offer a unique and special point of view of the subjects in their Roman homes and gardens.
The Gucci Cruise 2018 collection is a concentrate of fantasy. Textures and fabrics of the most disparate are juxtaposed and amalgamated in unusual creations with an eccentric style. Wool, lamé, microfibre, furs, sponges and silks: a kaleidoscope of fabrics and prints burst strongly into the scene, measuring itself with the strong personality of the models.
The result is amazing and we’ll let you admire it in the Gucci Cruise 2018 campaign gallery:
