Gladiator Live in Rome
Imagine being in Rome, during the Imperial age, on any day of celebration. As usual in these days, a huge crowd is reunited in front of the arena of the majestic Colosseum to watch the great spectacle of gladiators.
At the top, under the last arches, the plebeians are standing; it is a terrible mob, in which, however, sellers of savory foods and drinks and betting collectors manage to sneak. In the lower circles, each to the assigned step, the “bourgeois” sit, equally absorbed by enthusiasm. In the gallery of honor here is the emperor surrounded by his court and the imperial guards; and in the nearby private tribunes, priests, vestals, senators, all the richest and best known citizens. All Rome, in short, manifests its great enthusiasm for the races and shows offered by the great Roman wrestlers.
Yesterday 6 June 2018 with a world premiere we came back to Ancient Rome for some hours with a unique event hosted in the Eternal city.
The gladiator entered again in his arena and this time to encourage him in his fight there were 300 national and international super VIPs who were able to participate in this exclusive evening of entertainment and charity for the Rotary Campaign ‘End Polio Now ‘, a program to eliminate polio supported by Rotary International, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the World Health Organization, Unicef and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention everywhere.
A complete and multi-sensorial emotional experience having been able to relive the deeds of Massimo Decimo Meridio inside the symbolic place of Ancient Rome accompanied by the wonderful notes of the soundtrack by Hans Zimmer, played by a group of 200 musicians and singers of the Italian Orchestra del Cinema, directed by Justin Freer, and sung by the angelic voice of Lisa Gerrard.
VIP redcarpet under the bright flashes of paparazzi before the arrival of the Oscar prize: from Gabriele Muccino to Maria Grazia Cucinotta, from Connie Nielsen to Francesco Totti. Also present were Justin Freer, Charlie Allan, Luca Ward and Giada Desideri.
A night impossible to forget and opened to few so if your are curious, peek our gallery
