Today a story of cars, experiences, sensations in Via Veneto as so many vintage supercars of the Millemiglia passed down the dolce vita street to be awarded.
This is a fragment of a special half a million dollar exclusivity …
Rome was glittering with the night lights , more than ever; the atmosphere was enchanting and deluxe in Via Vittorio Veneto with this vintage car defilè.
I was with a glass of prestigious white Italian wine in my hand, on the corner in Harry’s bar, sitting a table and admiring all the epoche vintage cars roaring sipping on my Vermentino DOC as the vintage cars parade passed down slowly in-front of me on via veneto.
While I was tasting its bitter- sweet notes of the white wine Vermentino, I remembered that Marcello Mastroianni himself, involved in a lively discussion with Anita Ekberg, about the Dolce Vita, was once sitting there too in Harry’s Bar.
I came back to reality and everything happened in one single moment hearing the roar of a Ferrari, that caught my attention and of of all pedestrian on the sidewalk, with that unforgettable sound of the Ferrari motors, and the looks of the timeless beauty, and unique Italian class, even at his age.
What sensations, shivering down my spine that would boil up any car lovers blood at the thought that she could be driving that inestimable piece of unique jewelry of the 1957 Ferrari 335 Spider. So cool seeing it scrolling down like a Star down the famous Via Vittorio Veneto: oh what an exciting sight that was seeing that pure luxury only for the lucky ones able to get their hands on ( a half a million dollar car) , making that exciting evening of the dolce vita atmosfere in via Veneto even more fascinating and awesome.
As this picture I found of Sofia Loren in the 60s in this Mercedes 300 SL
